Finance Operations Specialist

Job Description:

A top cryptocurrency exchange is looking for a proactive and detail-driven Finance Operations Specialist to manage and optimize the movement, reconciliation, and tracking of digital and fiat assets across wallets, custodians, and exchanges. This role is instrumental in ensuring accurate crypto cash reporting, liquidity positioning, and support for business operations in a fast-paced crypto environment.

💼 Key Responsibilities:

  1. Crypto Cash Operations & Reconciliation
  • Monitor and manage cryptocurrency wallet balances across multiple blockchains and
    exchanges.
  • Execute daily crypto and fiat cash position reconciliations with internal systems and external
    custodians.
  • Support automated wallet sweeping and address whitelisting procedures.

2. Treasury Liquidity Management

  • Coordinate intra-wallet and intra-exchange transfers to ensure sufficient liquidity for trading, settlement, and withdrawals.
  • Track and optimize idle digital assets to support yield generation or staking strategies where applicable.
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting for crypto and fiat across operational wallets.

3. Settlement & Disbursements

  • Support crypto payouts, settlements, and corporate payments.
  • Assist in internal fund movements and intercompany settlement requests.
  • Review and validate third-party invoices and crypto transactions.

4. Compliance & Risk Controls

  • Ensure operations adhere to internal policies and AML/CFT requirements (including Travel
    Rule implications).
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Risk teams to support investigations and internal control enhancements.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation and audit trails for all crypto cash activities.

5. Liquidity Forecasting & Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date records of crypto cash flows and contribute to short- and medium-term liquidity forecasts.
  • Prepare treasury dashboards detailing wallet utilization, pending transfers, settlement queues, and idle balances.
  • Monitor crypto cash needs related to user activity, corporate disbursements, staking participation, and investment needs.

6. Institutional & Custodial Account Opening

  • Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for new crypto and fiat accounts across exchanges, custodians, banks, and counterparties.
  • Prepare, review, and submit KYC/AML documentation and corporate entity profiles in line with jurisdictional and partner-specific requirements.
  • Liaise with legal, compliance, and business units to ensure proper documentation, signing authority, and risk approvals are in place.
  • Track application progress, follow up on open items, and ensure timely account activation.
  • Support Institutional BU team on KYC and clients onboarding process.

7. Process Support & Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to develop automation tools for transfer approvals, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Support various BU and Operational teams to launch new assets, token swap, delisting, etc.

8. Ad hoc work support required by team manager

📑 Requirements:

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Operation or related fields.
  • At least one year of Crypto or web3 industry working experience.
  • Previous work experience in treasury, crypto asset management, Banking, financial institution, FinTech industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise custody platforms (Fireblocks, Safeheron, BitGo, Copper, etc.)
  • Knowledge of staking, stablecoins, on-chain settlement, and yield-bearing products is a plus.
  • Experience in using ORACLE-NETSUITE is a plus.
  • Able to work overtime and on weekends.
